SARA RAKES

We discovered the joys of Georgia artist Sara Rakes' lively and colorful paintings when our dealer, Martine, showed us a book that featured one the images we're showing here. IT was in the book "20TH CENTURY FOLK, SELF TAUGHT AND OUTSIDER ART" by Betty-Carol Sellen and the picture is color image #55. We asked Martine if the artist could duplicate the image and what we received a month later was even better than the one we had originally seen! We are now parting with our Sara Rakes collection as our new theme in that room is Haitian. We are sad to part with these pieces, but now YOU get to own these older 1993-1998 works of art. We paid retail for all three pieces, and are asking a little less for the two smaller pieces in order to sell them quickly. They look wonderful grouped with the large piece.
